If you know me, you know that food is one of my greatest pleasures. So when Taste of Burlington rolls around, I’m always excited to indulge in some of Burlington’s best bites. While there are so many amazing restaurants to choose from, these five are the ones I always go back to. Here’s why:
Familia Fine Foods
Familia Fine Foods place feels like a homecoming every time I visit. Familia is a cozy, family-run spot where every dish is made with love, and you can taste it. Whether I’m craving their freshly made empanadas or warming up with one of their hearty soups, it always hits the spot. The vibe here is so welcoming, and it’s the kind of place you want to return to over and over again.
DiMario's Trattoria
I have a soft spot for Italian food, and DiMario’s never disappoints. Every time I step into this charming spot, I’m instantly transported to Italy. Their handmade pastas and rich, savory sauces are incredible, but what really gets me are their meatballs or the chicken piccata. These dishes are always bursting with flavor, and they make every visit a treat. The service here is also top-notch, and I love the cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes it perfect for any occasion.
Isabelle Restaurant & Lounge
Whenever I need a little escape, Isabelle is my go-to. The stunning lakeside views always make me feel like I’m on a Mediterranean getaway. The food here is just as beautiful as the setting—fresh, flavorful, and elegantly plated. Whether it’s a casual night out or a special celebration, this spot never fails to impress.
400 Brant Kitchen & Bar
There’s something about the energy at 400 Brant that I absolutely love. This place always has a fun vibe, and the food is just as good as the atmosphere. One of my personal favourites is the roasted rack of lamb with herb gnocchi and rosemary jus. It’s a dish that always leaves me craving more. It’s the kind of place where you know you’re going to enjoy every bite, and it’s perfect for a night out with friends or family.
Earls Kitchen & Bar
Earls has been a reliable favourite of mine for years. From their tasty bowls to their perfectly cooked steaks, it’s hard to go wrong here. Whether I’m grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a laid-back dinner, Earls always delivers on flavor and quality. Plus, the service is always friendly, and the ambiance is just right for any kind of outing. It's also pretty convenient that it's located right in Mapleview Centre where you can get some shopping done!
